GRUNDIG GUFSAT01HD NEW REPORT LOOP THROUGH 12th AUGUST 2008.

GRUNDIG GUFSAT01HD NEW REPORT LOOP THROUGH 12th AUGUST 2008.

GRUNDIG GUFSAT01HD LOOP THROUGH IS ALIVE AND KICKING and our new tests have also revealed that this type of loop through system maybe unique to freesat set top boxes alone.
We tested the loop through using ONLY this time freesat receivers and we can report that the Grundig Gufsat01HD and then the Bush BFsat01HD can use ONE SINGLE coax cable from the LNB and both set top boxes can be switched on and SHOW DIFFERENT channels without any problems.
This augers well for those interested in using freesat in all rooms with one single coax cable, we now know it works.
Many have reported problems trying to use the loop through and initially the Grundig, Bush and Goodmans coped easily enough with most Sky receivers, we say most as some Sky receivers are using the same voltage whether they are switched on or switched off with no drop while in stand by and this may contribute to some Sky boxes being unable to be paired with freesat set top boxes. It's worth remembering at this point that the Humax Foxsat is a miser when it comes to electricity useage closely followed by the group; Grundig Gufsat, Bush BFsat and the Godmans GFsat all using the same.
We have been told that freesat loop through is intended for those who wish to use freesat in every room and using one single cable.
In our tests we used;
Grundig Gufsat01HD the Bush BFsat01HD and the Goodmans GFsat200HD there was no visible signal loss and you would never have known we were using a loop through, all can be switched on and all can view different channels as long as you use the same polarity; ie horizontal or vertical, if you use a different polarity from the master you get a blank screen but the blank screen does NOT stop the loop through to the next freesat box.
For those looking outside the box I have a PaceHD looped into a Humax Foxsat with no problems as long as one box is switched off while the other is switched on. I also tested the Humax Foxsat with a Samsung receiver loop through and the Humax Foxsat worked 100% with the Samsung remembering to switch one off while using the other.
Is it news to you ? then you read it here first!
