Yes you read it correctly, it is time some of these so called responsible forums stopped blatantly engineering threads simply to run down the "British Establishment", including the BBC/ITV venture which has still to surface completely, we are not just writing resident smart mouths we are talking about deliberate manipulation by website administrators generating hostile and targeted slander. As a licence fee subscriber I do not appreciate forum members running down the Freesat venture of which the majority of the British public are doing there British duty as a captive audience and paying to make it a success. Perhaps if these so called well known forums engineered an honest and genuine thread telling viewers how beneficial it will be because there is no monthly payment due and no more premium rate telephone helplines.
We make no secret we want Freesat "set up and forget boxes",to succeed for the majority of the British public including our Mums and Dads, Aunties and Uncles, Brothers and Sisters so why on earth do forum subscribers continually run down our establisment. Politics we can understand, but our Free TV we cannot. What else can you get for free these days ?
Free TV is something we can soon take for granted and it makes little difference to our wallet if the programmes do not live up to expectations as we are already paying for a licence fee.
The truth about Freesat is the metadata is the technical mystery and NOT future programming. We have been told 200+ channels are possible with at least 8 of them being HD(high definition) and it is as simple as that.
We have also been informed about the multimedia plans for Freesat, and like all good plans some will still be fluid so therefore open to adjustment. Until future plans are eched in stone we are unlikely to know 100% TV of tomorrow, so to all you poison pen scratchers please give our Free TV a chance to start up and run for a few months before sitting as judge, jury and pre-judgement as is normal armchair executioner.
