FREESAT AB SWITCH.

FREESAT AB SWITCH.

FREESAT MULTI CONNECTIONS are possible in a variety of different ways. As well as being able to connect in different permutations it can make much more economical sense and stops more holes being drilled in your walls.
In answer to Naheem from Spain;
no! you are not forced to add more wires to your sky system and no! you are not forced to buy another LNB quad or other wise just yet as we still do not have a TVR on the sales counters, In fact because you have no intention of buying multi-room you can run your sky set up and Freesat using one single wire.
To explain; the graphic shows the basic type of manual AB switch(cost about £4) which has a simple slider control which you can move manually to change to a different satellite box. In the graphic we have given only one possible way but these can be changed to suit your own personal set up.
For example; you wish to watch your new Grundig Gufsat/Goodmans GFSAT/Bush BFSAT/Humax Foxsat then you simply switch off your sky receiver and your any type of satellite receiver and your Grundig Gufsat will show(it will anyway as this box is very good for loopthrough such as shown). If you wish to watch your other satellite receiver simply switch off the Grundig Gufsat and your sky receiver and slide your AB switch to the desired direction.
We show a manual switch(as an example) but AB switches come in all sorts of different types with different names from AB switches to Data Transfer Switches, but either way this can be done automatically for a little more cash than the manual AB switch and all you do is plug and play. As can be seen, no more wires are needed from the satellite dish just yet. We have shown a simple Freesat and sky set up here which also shows a different way but is equally workable without adding anything except a couple of F-connectors to a short piece of coax cable.We have also to consider the possibility of TVR's in the future, will the new TVR need yet another wire ? or will the possibility of the metadata from Freesat be able to download multimedia into our boxes on one single cable ? we shall have to wait and see. We already know our telephone wires are going to be used with the Freesat ethernet connections.
Is it news to you ? then you read it here first!
